Go Green Needs Your Help

Hello all,

Thank you to all that participated in the Kentlands Foundation GO GREEN annual cleanup this year and in years past.

Many of you also just cleaned up our neighborhood from poisons, thank you so much for all you have done!

As you know, we organize this annual cleanup in the Kentlands with the City of Gaithersburg, Muddy Branch Alliance, and Alice Fergusson Foundation that gets many of you and your kids up and out to clean-up our waterways and neighborhood.

We need people who want to help GO GREEN continue.

Over the years some of you have also been GO GREEN co-chairs, active participants in talks about a variety of pressing environmental concerns, built and designed a community garden, advocated/educated about organic lawn care practices, helped secure grants from Whole Foods and Montgomery County rainscapes for a beautiful courtyard at Rachel Carson Elementary.

Jennifer Allen and I are currently co-chairs of GO GREEN. We would love a few more core people that would like get involved to organize ongoing possible film events, cleanups, speakers, whatever it is that you all want to see here in your neighborhoods and in Gaithersburg.
GO GREEN is under the Kentlands Community Foundation non-profit so there are wonderful opportunities to receive grants for projects, provide SSL hours for student projects. Teens, tweens interested are welcome too!

Please email us, call us if you want to get more involved. We need your interest to continue!

We have the Kentlands clubhouse reserved to meet in person.
