A Message from the Village at Kentlands and Lakelands

The Village at Kentlands and Lakelands seeks to create a strong sense of fellowship and concern for one another. The village offers those 55 and over an opportunity to join a community of active aging adults and adults aging within their own homes. Our goal is to improve lives through social connectedness, cultural enrichment and a helping hand.

During this time of uncertainty, we want you to know that the Village at Kentlands and Lakelands is continuing to be there for its members. Please do not hesitate to call Jean Mocarski at 240-449-9002 or email her at jeanmocarski@gmail.com. The Village is always looking for volunteers. At present, many of our members could benefit from a friendly phone call. Please contact Jean if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.

Like most organizations, we have had to cancel many of our planned events. However, we are developing a newsletter that will have important information on a variety of topics as well as suggestions for keeping oneself busy during this time. The newsletter will be published monthly if not more frequently. It will also be available on our website: www.villagekentlandslakelands.org.
In the meantime, please remember to follow the recommendations from the Maryland Department of Health and Human Services: wash your hands often with soap and water; cover your mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing; avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth; avoid contact with sick people; if you are sick, stay home and call your health care provider; and practice social distancing — keep distance between yourself and others and avoid crowds. In addition, we recommend you stay in frequent communication with your family and friends, preferably by phone.
Sincerely,

Village Steering Committee
